Volunteering at the Crunchy

Volunteers support our shop staff, usually coming in for a few hours a week. The tasks in the shop can be very varied - assisting customers, managing the till, taking out deliveries, replenishing stock, tidying shelves, organising price labels etc. It can be pretty busy! If you fancy seeing ‘behind the scenes’ of the Crunchy, please email manager@communitycarrot.scot.

Board of Directors

The Community Carrot Community Benefit Society is looking for new additions to its Board of Directors. If you are a Shareholder and can offer any combination of time, skills, experience and knowledge, please consider putting yourself forward.

Time commitment: the board currently meets once a month, and beyond that it's up to your availability and enthusiasm.

Applicants with all backgrounds and experience will be considered. If you are interested in joining the board, please download and complete this application form and email it to board@communitycarrot.scot.

Our community projects

We run a range of community food projects, all of which are free to attend: Sunny’s Kitchen, an inter-generational community meal; Sunny Soups, a food waste project; and children’s cooking classes. Read more about these here.

Cook Club is open to children in P4 - P7, and our holiday cooking classes are for children aged between 5 - 13.

If you’d like to find out more, including adding your child to the Cook Club waiting list or hearing more about holiday classes, please email Hannah at development@communitycarrot.scot.

buy a share

We are a Community Benefit Society, which means you can support our work by buying shares at any time, or giving shares as a present. Any investment supports our work and enables us to reach out further into the community, do more great work surrounding community food and drink, and invest more into creating a secure and sustainable business.
